„A Masterpiece of logistics
As a logistics services provider, bauserve is one of Überseequartier Holding’s partners. With 60 members of staff, bauserve is ensuring smooth and well-organized traffic flow on the 7, 8 hectare huge site. The throughout constructional road planning and positioning of the 14 building cranes was a precondition for their work.
As a result, transport flow from and to all seven sites has been directed through only one gateway. “We will straighten the transport processes at Überseequartier”, emphasizes Andreas Goetz, bauserve’s managing director. To do so, the “Frankfurt boys” are applying special logistics software and a logistics concept, who after have been approved by the contractor, has became a stipulated “Contract Rule” for all companies involved.
Thus, every operating company delivering concrete, pallets or containers has to personally register with bauserve online or via a fax-form. “Otherwise, at 8 o’clock in the morning there will be four lorries in front of one crane blocking each other”, says Mr. Goetz. His specialists are controlling the scheduled incoming and outgoing transport and are clearing the gateway according to the space and time provided. “Some construction companies were worried about us giving them a hard time. Meanwhile they know that we are clearing their way”, implies Mr. Goetz. “The most important thing”, he stresses, “is to be appreciative of construction progress and innovative processes.”
But “The Lorry directors” are able to do more: For the waste produced at Überseequartier, bauserve has developed a disposal system reaching from the working environment up to the waste management company. A security company is taking care of the site surveillance and is controlling the employment papers of over 800 employees, using specially designed access control software with a security turnstile.”

This involved 90 weekly site inspections and countless on-site meetings.
