On February 26, 2009 the first construction segment of the project Palais Quartier has been inaugurated. On the first day, the shopping centre “My Zeil” with its spectacular architecture, was overrun with 100.000 visitors.

To make this possible, a final logistic support had to be provided to all retail outlets in tenant improvements, simultaneously to the ongoing works on the other construction segments.
Hereinafter some figures documenting the immense requirements on constructional and logistics management:

• 2.800 people working simultaneously at the construction site.
• 640 companies making delivery claims to bauserve.
• 190 lorries being directed to their unloading bay.
• Daily up to 250 m³ wastage being collected and put into skips.

Bauserve employees were pushed to their limits, but they finally demonstrated that their supply control and disposal logistics system were characterized by immense productivity and efficiency.
A number of executing companies expressed their gratitude to bauserve for its helpful manner and support.
